Mari Mengarelli is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, licensed by the New Mexico Board of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and a Licensed Acupuncturist, recognized by the Virginia Department of Health Professions, Board of Medicine.
Mari earned a Masters Degree of Oriental Medicine from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Mari also holds a Diplomate of Acupuncture and a Diplomate of Chinese Herbology, which she attained by passing national board exams administered by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), a nationwide regulatory agency.
Mari holds First Aid Certification from the American Red Cross, CPR Certification (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) from the American Heart Association and Clean Needle Technique Certification from the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine.
Mari resides in Roanoke, Viriginia. Since relocating to the Roanoke valley in 2003, Dr. Mari has been aiding her clients in restoring and maintaining health through Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Acupuncture, Chinese herb remedies, Chinese nutritional therapy, acupressure and reflexology, TaiJi and QiGong techniques are among the repetoire of healing modalities employed by Dr. Mari in caring for the health of each of her clients.
Mari specializes in working with people in pain, whether physical pain or emotional pain.
